WHEN YOU GIVE FOR LOVE AND YOU THINK IT’S WASTED

He was a young man who was still struggling to make earns meet; he had hope of finding love and one day he came across this teenage girl who was 18 and fell in love with her. The teenage girls father was very poor and could not afford to pay her daughters WAEC examination fee of #15,000. He took it as a burden to see her take the examination. He had gone to the construction site to look for manual jobs to raise the money but the job wasn’t going to be enough, he also engaged in street hawking and all kinds of meaner jobs just to raise the money but time was ticking out and the closing date for the registration was just two days away.  He had just gotten only #8000 and he still needs #7000 in two days; he took out his phone, his good shoes and his television and sold them to raise the money. He did get #15,000 and had an extra of #7000. He paid her WAEC and gave her the extra for her up keep throughout the examination period.  He had not gone to school at all but he had ...

WORDS FROM A FATHER TO A SON ABOUT MARRIAGE

1. My son, if you keep spending on a woman and she never asked you if you’re saving or investing, and she keeps enjoying the attention, don’t marry her. 2. My son, a woman could be a good wife to you, some could be a good mother to your children but if you’ve found a woman like a mother to you, your children and your family, please don’t let her go. 3. My son, don’t confine the position of your wife to the kitchen, where did you get that from? Even in our days, we had farm-lands where they worked every morning . . . that was our office. 4. My son, if I tell you that you’re the head of the house, don’t look at your pocket; look if you will see a smile on your wife’s face. 5. My son, if you want to have a long life, let your wife be in-charge of your salary, it will be difficult for her to spend it when she’s aware of the home needs and bills to pay but if it’s in your care, she will keep you asking even when all has been spent. 6. My son, don’t ever beat your woman, the...

HOW DAYSTAR STARTED

By Pastor Sam Adeyemi “I can still remember clearly, I felt like my ministry was stagnated and things were not moving for me. So I decided to pray. I remember that day in April 1994, my wife and I went to Lekki beach, fasting and to pray. I was praying, asking God about the next level, where do I go from here?” God spoke to me and asked me to continue with the prayer and fasting. After  days, He said I should stop the fasting but go ahead with the prayer and I obeyed. “Sometime in July that year, the Lord spoke to me clearly one morning that He was going to take me to the next level of ministry, to teach Biblical success principles. He said I would not be able to do the things He wanted me to do in my former pastorate, because He was asking me to teach success on radio, television, tapes, publications and seminars. In addition, I was to establish a church that would help people discover and release their potentials. I got the vision for  Success Power Internation...

A GOODMAN IS THE MOST DIFFICUILT KIND OF MAN TO LOVE...

... Spetacular Ujuaku HERE YOU GO AGAIN It is a hard thing to love a good man. A good man is not a nice man – he does not do things to be nice, he does things because he has a moral code, a set of values he prioritizes and will always do his best to make sure that his actions are in line with his own personal standards. A good man will not do the easy thing or the convenient thing, or even the thing that he wants to do; he will do what he knows to be the good thing. He will never lie to you to spare your feelings or attend something because social constructs deem it the courteous or polite course of action, and he will in fact do many things that anger and frustrate you. But you cannot get mad at him, because after all, he is a good man. A good man is the man who will take his ex-girlfriends call while he’s with you, because he knows that she has anxiety and would only ever call in an emergency, and he is obligated as a good man to do whatever he can to help even when it...

THE 7 HABITS OF HIGHLY EFFECTIVE PEOPLE

HABIT 1 : BE PROACTIVE Your life doesn't just "happen." Whether you know it or not, it is carefully designed by you. The choices, after all, are yours. You choose happiness. You choose sadness. You choose decisiveness. You choose ambivalence. You choose success. You choose failure. You choose courage. You choose fear. Just remember that every moment, every situation, provides a new choice. And in doing so, it gives you a perfect opportunity to do things differently to produce more positive results. Habit 1: Be Proactive is about taking responsibility for your life. You can't keep blaming everything on your parents or grandparents. Proactive people recognize that they are "response-able." They don't blame genetics, circumstances, conditions, or conditioning for their behavior. They know they choose their behavior. Reactive people, on the other hand, are often affected by their physical environment. They f...

THE GREAT MAN'S TECHNIQUE

Preparation: It is preparation that determines your experience; a wise man said “when preparation meets with opportunity success is inevitable. You don’t prepare in greatness you prepare for greatness, no one prepares for an exam in the examination hall. A popular comedian said that people always described him as one who came from nowhere and now dominating the comedy industry, and he will always reply by saying I came from somewhere, and when they ask him further what he means, he said “I have been preparing myself all those years you never heard about me”. People have lost several opportunities to become great in life because of lack of preparedness. Investment / Sowers mentality: No one becomes wealthy by savings, it is good to save but it is better to invest. Whatever you don’t invest will never increase. A lot of people are poor not because they never had money before but because they failed to invest the one they had by spending it on worthless things. Everyone loves t...
