MOTIVATION FOR SUCCESS

Some people dream of success... while others wake up and work hard at it.
Mike Zuckerberg
Last year may have been one of the toughest years in this nation, a lot of people lost their means of lively hood, some lost their well paid jobs, some were demoted and salaries cut short, some business lost so much money on investments due to high exchange rates, some business were caught in fire incidents, some people were duped by individuals and ponzi schemes who were leveraging on the economic recession in the nation. All these are not reasons enough to give up and not try in 2017. I have never seen a man who has not failed at one point in time in life. To fail is good but to remain there is failure. Winston Churchill said something that struck me “Success is walking from failure to failure with no loss of enthusiasm”, this means that even if I lost my job last year, my business was caught in the fire, I lost money to a ponzi scheme, I lost money on international investments due to high exchange rates, I refuse not to try again; Many of life's failures are people who did not realize how close they were to success when they gave up (Thomas A. Edison).
According to Lisa M. Amos “entrepreneurs average 3.8 failures before final success. What sets the successful ones apart is their amazing persistence”. Every day is a new opportunity to try out something new only if we can be courageous; courage is not the absence of fear but the mastery of fear. All our dreams can come true if we have the courage to pursue them (Walt Disney). So don’t be afraid to try getting a new job, or investing in a new business, or developing new ideas. Keep on going, and the chances are that you will stumble on something, perhaps when you are least expecting it. I never heard of anyone ever stumbling on something sitting down (Jimmy Spithill). One thing we have to put in mind as we set forth to try again is that no one becomes successful repeating the same mistakes over and over again. When you make a mistake it goes a long way to tell you to try a different approach to achieve success, Thomas Edison said “I have not failed. I’ve just found 10,000 ways that won’t work”.
So I will ask myself, what I did wrong on my last job, what were the mistakes I made before lost my money to an investment, was it the right investment for me to make or did I invest wrongly, what were the decisions I took last year that were not beneficial to me, are my friends profitable to me, are they adding value to me, who were the people who offered me advises last year, which advice profited me and which did not, am I too dependent on my family and that is why I make a lot of mistakes, which ideas did I discard for fear of failure, the ideas working for me how do I improve on them, and lastly what would I do to reduce mistakes and achieve success quickly over and over again before the year runs out? Though no one can go back and make a brand-new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand-new ending (Carl Bard).
Even if you find yourself in an environment where people do not believe in you, you have to believe in yourself; a successful man is one who can lay a firm foundation with the bricks others have thrown at him (David Brinkely). Your best revenge against them is massive success (Frank Sinatra). There are two types of people who will tell you that you cannot make a difference in this world: those who are afraid to try and those who are afraid you will succeed (Ray Goforth). Start where you are, use what you have, do what you can do (Arthur Ashe), the first step towards success is taken when you refuse to be a captive of the environment in which you first find yourself (Mark Caine).

25 FACTS ABOUT OBAMA

By   KelseyWarner   on March 4, 2016 Inside Gov As the final remaining year of the Obama administration is well underway, the legacy that President   Barack Obama   will forge in history remains hotly contested.   Conservatives argue   Obama is the “worst president ever” while   liberals have claimed   he has “done more good for this country than any president before him.” He likely will not play the role of a “lame-duck” president, as the administration has yet to slow down. Obama currently finds himself in the middle of a   heated standoff   with the Republican-led Senate to fill a Supreme Court vacancy. He still pursues a workable   plan to close GuantanamoBay , one of his 2008 campaign promises. As his term nears its end, the passionate, vocal opinions on both sides of the political aisle may reach their crescendo as his legacy becomes ripe for interpretation. When reflecting on Obama’s time in the White House, the facts beyond the opinions deserve to be examined. Obama

WAYS TO LOSE A JOB BEFORE YOU'RE INTERVIEWED

The internet is filled with all the things you have to do to get your job but no one ever talks about all the things you have to not do to get a job. So here are some important “don’ts” of job hunting. Don’t use one method of job hunting: Ok, we get that social media and online applications are the in-thing now but never forget or underestimate the power of plain ol’ physical applications submissions, recruiting agencies and “connect” referrals. Don’t do mass applications with the same CV: No really, do not do that. Don’t apply for every job (you really cannot do “anything”) and if you’re going to apply to a lot of jobs in your field, ensure each application is tailored to the job description and company. Don’t “play yourself”: As noted in point 1, social media is the in-thing right now and it can cost you major opportunities. Do not post anything you don’t want a prospective employer to see. If you do? Congratulations, you just played yourself *in D Khaled’s voice*
